Mark Hammond’s path to writing was anything but ordinary. He started out as a copywriter, writing words for TV ads, but his calling took him further into ministry, chaplaincy, and helping people through sorrow and the darkest times in their lives. Mark walked with many people for more than forty years, learning about fear, hope, and the fights that go on inside of us. It was easy for him to start telling stories, and producing screenplays helped him improve his narrative voice. His first full-length novel, Angel of Death, is a mix of his real-life experiences and a frightening imagination. Mark shows more than just terror in it; he shows the battles between faith, regret and the darkness we all carry.
When he’s not writing, Mark is a husband, mentor, and storyteller. His years of work as a pastor and chaplain still affect the way he writes, making his stories feel real and giving them emotional depth. Mark’s writing is always about connecting with readers on a human level and making them think long after they’ve read the last word. Whether he’s writing about grief, redemption, or fear, that’s what he wants to do.
